White Rabbit premiering in the NEXT section of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival
In this episode I interview Actor Vivian Bang and Director Daryl Wein about the film White Rabbit which is premiering in the NEXT section of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
“A dramatic comedy following a Korean American performance artist who struggles to be authentically heard and seen through her multiple identities in modern Los Angeles.
Daryl Wein founded Mister Lister Films with his partner, Zoe Lister-Jones (BAND AID, “LIFE IN PIECES”). He directed Greta Gerwig in LOLA VERSUS for Fox Searchlight, BREAKING UPWARDS for IFC Films, BLUEPRINT for The Orchard, and CONSUMED for Mar Vista Entertainment. He executive produced BAND AID, which premiered at Sundance in 2017, released by IFC Films. In TV, he directed for “MOZART IN THE JUNGLE” on Amazon.
Vivian Bang has had a steady rise in Hollywood including co-starring on the TBS hit comedy series Sullivan & Son and her supporting role as “Soo-Mi” in Jim Carrey’s Yes Man.
Nana Ghana, the 24th granddaughter of the sitting King of Ghana, has become a feminist icon and filmmaker in the States and can be seen in James Franco’s upcoming film THE LONG HOME, as well as his previous film THE INSTITUTE.
With current and ongoing social issues Hollywood faces with Asian American and African American actors, gender, and sexuality, Vivian and Nana have overcome several hurdles to make this film and have so much to say about it.”
